Would this work?

I was thinking of making a drag, kind of like a harrow with my old tracks. They still have the street pads on them and I thought if I cut them into sections of 6 or 7 pads and had 5 or 6 sections side by side, they'd make a good flexible drag. Do you think it would work very good? Dave

i think it would be great for smoothing level ground, however if it flexes so much, it might not fill in low spots in a plowed field. id still make it just to see though.

I drag around a 6' length of old track chain with the atv to take out washboards on my driveway to generally smooth over some ground but other then that it doesn't really do much. If you can keep the chain from collapsing on itself it doesnt fill any low spots or take down the highs either...just smoothes the surface over...but ah, it was an after supper project a few years back...try it out

I was thinking to the drag the chain with the pads still on and put sections of pads side by side so it's wider. Dave

If you could set it up to drag behind you at an angle it might work. If you pull the track straight on it will flex over any humps and into any low spots and it won't do a whole lot. I drug a set of old tracks across the driveway once, the one that drug at an angle did fill in a couple holes.
