Lights and losing electrical power additional info???

It was warm today so I could do some experimenting in my skid steer. The positive post on one battery is a little loose. Not the clamp but the post itself. If I have just the heater on, it will not cause any problems at all. If I have just the lights on, it will not cause any problems at all. If I have the heater and lights on together, electrical power is lost after about 20 minutes initially and then even less time. If I shut the lights and heater off, the power comes back after about 30 seconds. Could the battery with the loose post be causing this and also slower cranking speed? Maybe all the problems are related? Dave

yes the loose post can cause all the probs youre having and as a added free bonus it can break internally, causing a spark and explosion...take the cable off other side of battery and then take the broke side loose...wouldnt hurt to wear some heavy gloves and a face shield JIC

Thank you. I didn't have to boost it today but I boost directly to the starter terminal because the batteries are behind the seat and harder to get at. Dave

Be REAL CAREFUL with batteries and loose posts. They WILL explode with no warning. Replace it and don't wiggle post any more. Battery acid tastes lousy and burns your eyes. Been there!
