Cat D4C transmission

What would a used tranny cost for a Cat D4C?
Does anybody have an idea?
I found a unit (with cab) and blown tranny, he's asking 7Gs for it.

Here"s a phone number for a cat used parts dealer in Il. There are many of these across the country tied in with Caterpillar dealerships.1-815-220-7750.
You also may consider rebuilding the transmission, but keep in mind buying a machine that"s not running can hide many other problems it may have.

that is to much or a running tractor, It would bring thousand to fifteen hundred for a parts tractor if the engine cranks and runs. I see them advertised for 3,500 to 4,000.

I have not heard back from the seller, so I don't know what year it is.
Thanks for the info, I'll find a machine someday.
