Just purchased a 310 Case track loader and the only tag left on it is the loader tag, S/N 4049991. Cannot find any stamped no."s on the frame rails. Trying to find the model and year. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. farmlife.

Cool,

Not sure about the 310. However on my 450 there is a serial # (tag) on the outside and front of the battery box, Which is on the drivers left when you sit in the seat.

Seem that the same # was stamped into the chassis too, I don't remember where. Also there is a # stamped behind the starter, which is visible. I am thinking that this designates the engine block. Mine indicated that it was a 205ci, as opposed to a 188 ci.

It has had a pretty rough life. There is no tag on the left or right side of the seat. Also, there are no stampings on the frame rails by the eng. They replaced the eng. with a 201 out of a 600 combine using the oil pan for the combine and tried to go up a 60 degree slope, run out of oil and spun a bearing. Luckly, didn"t hurt the crank so am rebuilding and putting a deep sump pan on.

Thanks, farmlife

right, 201 ci. I loose oil pressure going up steep slopes too unless it is full. 1/2 qt low and it'll go down.

is it diesel or gas?...sl

It is a gas eng. Will break out the torch and brazing rod and put a center V in the oil pan, then extend the oil pump pick-up to fit.
