Case 580CK Questions

As a new owner of a Case 580 Construction King with the diesel engine where are the serial numbers on it? My brother said he found a number tag on the side of the Hoe Console and it has been painted over but you can still read that it is a #33 Hoe. Where can I get an Air Cleaner for it? All I appear to have is a rubber elbow facing the front of the tractor. Anybody have an operators manual? I guess the CDs are best for the Service Manuals? Are there any special tricks for bleeding all the air out of the fuel system? I would sure love to drive it off the trailer as much fun as it was to load dead.

Case uses a separate serial on the tractor and backhoe, the tractor serial # should be on the right side of the dash, the engine # is to the front of the starter motor, the best way to get the air out is fill the tank, loosen the screw on top of the top filter untill clear fuel comes through, then close it,as the 188 engine does not have a priming pump I find the easiest way to get the air out of the pump is remove the return pipe and the elbow that is on the top cover, gravity should do the rest providing the filters are clean and the outlet from the tank is not blocked, you can look up the parts catalogue on the Case online parts site,go to the link below, page opens, click on N America English, page changes, click on Parts and Service,on the bottom of the dropdown menu click on Parts catalog, another page opens with a black square top left corner of the square click on Launch parts catalog, another page opens, type in 580 and click search, lots of options, click on the 7th one down Case Construction King tractor, then under that Figure listing and all the sections shows, the air filter is shown as the oil bath type,it does not show a dry type.
