Hydraulic Oil for BobCat.

What type of oil is correct for the Hydraulics, Drive cases in a Bobcat model 720 Skid steer loader. Hydraulic transmission? Or Anti Wear hydraulic? Thanks, Dandy Dave!

For any kind of hydrostatic drive system you want the best oil available, anti-foam, anti-wear etc. A tractor/transmission hydraulic is what you need, it costs more but it's necessary.

If the drive cases is the chain case it's not particular you can put the cheap oil in there if you want to keep 2 different oils.

Thanks for the reply, The gear and chain cases in this machine seem circulate with the rest of the hydraulic oil, it would only make sense to use one type of oil. Hy- tran it will be then. I know that a lot of excavators, Bulldozers and other large machines that I have worked on call for AW#32, which is a common anti wear, non foaming, hydraulic oil. Just wondered what Bobcat recommended? Dandy Dave!

My 722 manual says use 10W40 motor oil. Don't know if yours is the same. But I'd check before using regular hydro oil. Hydraulic oil is alot thinner.
