If those are warm pressures I would not worry at all. Quite common for a Detroit to have no oil psi at warm idle. 20 psi at operating speed is not bad either, just keep oil in it. If your bent on checking something there is an oil psi relief valve in the front housing with a spring that possibly could have broke.

I've got four tractors with Detroit 2-strokes. Two 3-53s, and two 3-71s. They all do it. Run cold maybe 20 lbs. idling, and when hot, almost zero. On my backhoe, I stuck a low pressure gauge into it that gives readings in 1 lb. increments - and what I thought was zero - is actually 3-5 PSI.

I'd say don't worry about - except - do NOT use multi-viscosity oil in warm temps. Even Rotella T 15W-40 is not rated for DDs. They are designed to be run with straight grade oil. Few MV oils are suited for DDs except for a few synthetics. Also, if you're nervous, raise your idle speed up a bit.

thanks veryone I got worried when i saw the pressure but wasnt sure if I looked at the pressure at Idle or just when i was digging so had to askto make sure and thanks on the oil tip I didnot know that you need straight 30 I just bought the machine last week.
