My ol man is doing some time and I've taken over the maintenance of his Massey Ferguson 400. I recently noticed while loading up some logs to take to the local sawmill that there was a major leak coming from the hydraulic cylinder on the right side and I'm wondering what kind of kit I need to repack the cylinder. I've tried looking it up but it's hard to find anything for the 400 series. I've also noticed that the "arm" that the cylinder is mounted to is loose and noticably wiggles from side to side as the crawler is in Motion How would I tighten that back up and also how would I tighten the tracks as well and what tools do I need for the jobs. I know how to run and operate the machine but as far as repairs I'm out of my element. I will be doing an the repairs myself so if there are any helpful tips I should know before beginning this project I don't be so thankful to know.

Hello Cheshire welcome to YT! I would suggest getting
a repair manual. The old man may have known how to
fix it but it sounds like you do not have the knowledge
like he did. If you are okay with a down loadable copy
then go to farm manuals Farm Manuals Fast. If you
want a paper copy go to Peaceful Creek
