I want to mount 7.5' Western snow-plow on the bucket of a 530 Ck tractor back-hoe. Can I mount another hydraulic valve off the loader valve to operate the plow
angle and when I don't have the snow-plow on I could use it for a hydraulic thumb on the back-hoe. I have a manual thumb now on the back-hoe.

Yes, you can add another valve. Your 530CK should be open center. The exact plumbing will need to be figured out and sized so as not to affect your hoe or loader.

If your loader valve doesn't already have one, part 80 (no longer sold) is needed to give power beyond to another valve. Results in power out thru a labelled port which MUST return to tank or things will blow. Otherwise, you may try plumbing it thru a diversion valve(s) plumbed off one of the loader valve circuits. Sounds tricky to reach the controls for using the same valve/circuit for both plow & thumb. Jigsaw puzzle for sure!

I'm considering a dash 8 or 6 size diversion valve plumbed off a stabilizer circuit for a thumb. You might want a separate one for the plow plumbed off bucket tilt?

Jim.ME, Do you think going with 1/2 hose for the pressure side of a addition valve and 3/4 for the return and a 3/8 hose going to the plow swing would work ok?

Western and Fisher plows, of that size, mounted on pickup trucks (that I am familiar) with use small belt driven or electric powered pumps and are plumbed with 1/4 inch hoses and fittings. Is this a plow from a pickup truck? What size are the ports/fittings on your angle cylinders?

If your Western is like those, the hose sizes you mentioned will be more then adequate.
