Skidloader on its side inside of container

Friend has a skidloader on its side inside a container, results from tornado or
wind.. Luckily it is at the doors but thinking of ideas to get out and on its
wheels.

Once out will need to turn over engine without starting to check for hydrolock from
engine oil. Fluid levels need to be checked, but no apparent leaks noted yet.
Battery?

Don't want to damage the container door on the ground, but maybe slide it out on a
sled or planks.

Close and latch the doors on the container, so it stays rigid, the roll the container back to its original position, utilizing a hold back so it rolls gently. If you do it right, there will be 0 damage. Simplest and safest way to do it!

^^^^^This^^^^^ Why would any other way be considered???

My first choice would be a Heavy Truck Wrecker. If that is not an option maybe some small round Bales or big square bales to cushion it as it goes over tip point. A line of sand or gravel will serve the same purpose. Lots of blocking and bracing as you work around it so nobody gets hurts. Once over the tip point lower it down with a forklift or Jacks. Good Luck, Work Safe. Steve.

because i did not think it was worth 1000.00 dollars an hr or more for a picker plus a hold back unit . when they is a cheaper and safe way with little cost involved.
you are not going to just hook on and pull it over as that wall will not hold the skid steer weight with out wrapping slings around the
building . but it dont matter to me as its not my money , but i know how i would do it.

If you can't roll the container with the loader cushioned (container is cheaper than skid steer so I would damage that first) then I would lift it enough to slide a steel plate under, set on plate, pull plate out then upright the loader.

Cash4toys has the right idea. Don't worry about damaging the container, Those things are tough. Design criteria for those containers is stacked 9 high, fully loaded (around 40,000# for a 40' box) and an acceleration of 1g. Hook on to both ends, pull slowly and hold back on it and let it down slow, you won't damage the skid steer.

Does your friend have any equipment of his own besides the Skid loader? Any other equipment nearby available low cost?

A couple good old boys with 4020's and chains would have had this project done in less time than all the discussion on here.

First question is there insurance coverage involved? If so I would hire is done and let the service provider worry about it.

If not, I would roll the container myself if there is enough room to do it.

Yup let the insurancew company deal with it then it is on them for damage if any. AFter out let set for a few days before trying to start check oil if still low let set a few more days and recheck if changes let set till done changing. hold chain and pull chain with rear doors shut and latched would be the easiest safest bet with least damage.
