Hi guys.
I have a Cat D4 6u dozer started with petrol pony ...the Zenith carb is a TC4 model.
I have a problem with the mains jetting setup inside the carburetor float bowl.
There's a 2" long needle about 4mm diameter that is the mix adjustment needle.
At the moment the needle is sitting too high so the mix is way too rich and the pony is smoking and under powered...makes starts difficult. It will turn the diesel over uncompressed but will stall if the decompression is disengaged.
Some TC carburetor have this needle as a direct screw.
Mine has a spring load setup that I can't easily figure out.
The spring is lifting the needle out from the seat.
The mechanism to push down seems to be missing something.
Any ideas? Even bad ones...
