International TD-9B SA

Anyone on the site know if there are many parts available for these anymore? Direct drive, 282 I believe with turbo. Or, does anyone have any knowledge of these that would know if the main clutch is something IH used in something else? Same with transmission, finals, steering clutches & brakes?
Looking at one that is really straight, nice looking. But, you just never know what can go wrong. I think it would be nice to have in a collection, but I don't need something to park in a tree line cause I can't find parts.

Clothes and brakes can be relined, there are companies that do it. I think parts like gears and shafts would be the ones to worry about.

I believe the company in the link is able to provide the clutch and brake linings or relined parts. Not sure about how available gear train hard parts are. I am guessing that stock is limited to salvage machines. I am also not sure if the SA designation you have added at the end makes it different from the listings they show. If you pick out the TD9B clutch section they show; on the part page down low there are some added bonuses that if they are correct to your application will be very helpful if you pick up this machine.
Crawler parts

Thank you for the information link. That site should be a big help to me. I guess it's just an Ag crawler, and on these they didn't call them Speacial Application like some others. Turbo 282 direct drive red in color. Good under carriage, straight tin, perfect nose and feul tank and fenders.
Would you happen to know if IH ever used a DT282 in anything other than the crawlers?

I don't think any tractors had the turbocharged 282. I had a TD9 92 series and a TD9-B, both had the DT282. The TD9-B powershift had a D282 engine.

From what I can find, the TD9B direct
drive ag version was the only turbocharged
version (DT282)of the D282. The powershift
TD9B was natural aspirated, as was 560,
660, 656, 706 and well i dont know about
any combines. The one I am looking at has
the tool bar dozer on it, which in
itself is a pretty rare piece of
equipment. I guess it would be hard to
find any other attachments for that tool
bar though.

Just a guess here on the main clutch as it may also be the same as used on hand clutch 560-660 wheatland tractors as some guys like the over center clutches over a foot clutch . I personally have never worked on one with hand clutch but had replaced a couple foot clutches on a 560 and a 660 I H .
