John Deere 450c sprocket rubbing on roller

Hey guys. I recently rebuilt the undercarriage on the left hand side of my John Deere 450 c. New sprocket, rollers and chain. I was quite excited this afternoon when I wheeled it out the shop. Not for long though. It rode extremely rough. After looking it over, I can see that the sprocket is rubbing on the first roller a bit. Anyone have any idea what thats about? Theyre all new parts. The reason the parts were changed was the chain was worn past the point of comfort. With the old parts it did not rub. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

There is likely enough difference in the old and new components for that to happen. There is an alignment procedure in the technical manual to center the track carrier so the sprocket will run center of that roller. Did you do that?

I just scanned through the whole service manual and
couldnt find the procedure. Just the clarify, it is almost
as though as the roller is too large in diameter, where the
tips of the sprocket teeth make contact with the first
roller. See attached image. Thanks!

When you said "rubbing", I interpreted that as out of center, with the side of the sprocket rubbing the side of the roller, not the sprocket teeth hitting the roller.

Does the center diameter of your new roll measure the about the same as the old one? The old one would have some center wear, but should be close to original.

Make sure you don't have bad bearings in the final, that will allow the sprocket to move forward. Otherwise, some of these new roller halves are spun welded together and it leaves a ridge in the middle that I have trouble with on the older crawlers with exactly what you are experiencing. Not sure this happens on the 450, but just a thought.

broken axle? I had one break on the parking lot. As soon as I started moving it broke & wobbled all over the place.
