You started the top one with a bar in those flywheel holes. Grand dad always said last thing one did when you parked for the day was lay something over the holes so next day frozen water or ice would not be in the hole. Had some petcocks on the engine get gas in and ever thing just right and give it a quick pull on the bar and if you were luck it would fir off. Must have been the days. Folks sure worked harder b ack in those days.
