Several people on the forum have given me suggestions which I appreciate. Removed small cover plate and sprayed things under the cover with blaster. Will use my 9/16 end wrench with a wire attached to it in case it slips out 0f my hand to loosen the adjuster lock
Is it neessare to remove the nut and small adjuster? looks like enough space to loosen nut and use a small screw driver to move the latch for the aduster ring back out of the way.
Not much room to tap on one of the metal extrusions. Have a long screw driver but it would cut the metal. Will get a 3/8 in piece of solid rod to tap the extension on the adjuster ring.
Might the following loosen things? put dozer in gear 3 and push into a large dirt pile to try and loosen the cluth. Would do this with clutch lever partially engaged. Would appreciate any follow up members on the forum could let me know if I am on the right track. Removing the clutch when I am 80 years old is probably too much for me

No need to take the nuts off, the holes in the lock tab are long-gated and it will go down enough to allow the adjusting ring to be moved, to not try to move the ring by using the lot tab bolts as they can break off easily, use the notches cut in the adjusting ring, good luck

AJ,
Thanks for the information. I found my originial crawler tractor crawler tractor chassis shop manual. Have included a
picture of the clutch adjustment ring on my TD6. Are the protrucing bumps on the adjustment ring used to tap on with a
long piece of metal the correct places to try and adjust the cluth? I see one lock tab only on my TD6

Your information : blaster, one lock tab

I was able to loosen the adjuster ring, Clutch engagement

is good now. I will keep the td6 under cover in a garage, Riding lawn mowers outside with
Covers
