Ford backhoe swing chain

I have a mid 1970's ford 535 tractor with an add on backhoe. I cannot find any numbers on the backhoe, either serial or model. My swing chain broke the other day and I cannot seem to locate a replacement. The ones that I find measure 1.5 inches from center of link pin to center of link pin. Mine measures 1.75 inches from center of link pin to center of link pin. Does anyone out there know where I can find such a replacement chain, or know what model backhoe attachment that I may have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Mark

Are there any numbers or other identification info on the side bars of the links?

This is basically what youre going to need. There
were standard and heavy chains for the 755. The
tag should be in plain sight on the control box,
where the levers are. If w cant find it , it probably
got knocked off. If you call new Holland , they can
tell you how to identify your particular unit.

Thanks for your reply. I have looked high and low on the control box and the backhoe unit for any identification. Haven't had any luck. The chains that you pictured are the ones that are 1.5 inches center pin to center pin. Unfortunately they will not work. They look exactly the same but are of a different size.

....and when you get the new ones on, dont let them get all rusty and creaking. Brush some used motor oil on them any time they look dry. When rusty they also hold water which freezes and adds more stress that they dont need.
Best way to pull the rods out for installation of the chains is remove the floorboard and take the lines off the lock valve, and let the oil out. After assembly the chain tension is automatically adjusted.

I will check the chain again to see if I can find any ID numbers. I may need to get out my magnifying glass as eyesight gets worse as age creeps forward. Thanks for the info on pictures.

New Holland can still get them, $400 /side.
Unfortunately you have the heavy ones... the online
bargain outlets are going to carry the standard duty.

On my 800 series Ford with a sherman backhoe I was able to find flat link chain like used on forklifts to replace mine.Mat have to make end links out of flat bar but
much cheaper than Ford.
