I recently bought a 3514. Long story short... it barely moves on asphalt in low gear and not at all in high or in rough terrain. There is no resistance on the reverse pedal and the forward pedal barely moves but with a few seconds and some pressure the pedal will go down.
I did a hydraulic fluid change and the part in the pic fell out. I'm assuming this is all related but the manuals aren't helping. Does anyone know what this part of a part is?

would guess that its a hydraulic fluid strainer??

The shiny side looks like it was riding on something and the darker side has broken off a rod. I kinda think that this originally may have looked like an intake value?
It's less than 1\4" thick.
