Cletrac AG6 Info

I just acquired a Cletrac AG6
I need some information
First, where are the brakes? Is it just both drive handles back?
Yes, this is my first crawler, and I already love it.
I have driven it less than 200 feet.
There is a foot pedal for your right foot, the throttle is smack dab where my calf would be, is something wrong?
The ID tag on the firewall is missing.
So it is gas. 6cylinder flat head. Distributor is Delco and sticks right thru the head and about 8 inches to a foot tall.
The engine tag only has OF226 33191, no other markings on the silver tag.
The generator is Delco Remy Mod 1102424 SerN 7C27
It has a Carco Mod EA winch SerN 4366 EA 1351
No other attachments.

Are there any other ID plates on the unit I should look for?
Any information or other sources would be appreciated.

Thanks

The left and right hand steering levers are also the brakes (usually includes a mechanism to allow locking the levers in the back position).
The steering levers tighten lined steel bands (running in transmission oil) which then slows one side (and speeds up the other side
as there is a spur gear differential). There are no steering clutches as there might have been on other crawlers of the same era.

The AG-6 replaced the model AG in about 1942 or 43. The model AG was a 4 cylinder Hercules. The AG- with the Continental replaced the Hercules because the Hercules were
need because of the war. More questions, send me an e-mail. J.

Thanks for your comments and information.

I'll be working very slowly on this It is stashed at the farm, about an hour away. Today I added a new stable on the equipment shed to keep it out of the weather.
It has some carburetor issues, it dies after 2 to 3 minutes (bowl or valve I hope)

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again!
