My neighbor stopped by today and gave me six Cat Mags to play around with. Any value here? If anybody needs parts please let me know.

Need to see the back side, but some of them do appear to be the same as used on the early vertical starting engines for D7's,
and D8's. I think the 3 cylinder RD6, and Diesel Forty also used the same starting engine/magneto. I've got a spare or 2 and
also 2 D7's, one of which I really need to get working on, very low hours, just sitting. No idea how the mag held up on it, it
is covered but still. I know there are folks that re-build magnetos and I have worked on these myself too. There is a little
bit to know on how to mount one in correct time with the starting engine, something I can repeat in my sleep at this point from
the days of learning how these worked.

Nice find, I see you have Bosch, Wico and Eismann, think I have one of each as well in unknown condition, be nice to have 1 or
2 working spares of these.

They all look to be mags for the 2 cylinder Cat starter (pony) engines. Worth a good deal if you part them out, assuming any of them still have good parts. I've seen working rebuilt mags go for north of $300 and that was some years back.

I checked that out dpendzic but you got to be a paid member

Are you sure? I'm not a paying member, but I just logged on and it appears I can post in the for sale section.

I was able to register and now have listed the mags on ACMOC

You asking folks to buy something that was given to you? You only asking shipping
costs correct?

Would it be better if the guy that originally had them threw them in the scrap metal bin?
