The original subject was Re: Fiat Allis 8B steering problem.
I have a Fiat Allis 8B. We ran it up on a stump and broke several transmission lines. We have since repaired everything that was broken but now it wont steer. It will go forward and backwards , and will stop when either brake is pressed but it wont turn. I believe this dozer pulls from the hydraulic oil but Im not certain one of the lines we replaced was a return line in the steering system. Is it possible there isnt any fluid in the clutch? The hydraulic circuit does work as far as blade ho and down. Do you have to fill or bleed it to help fill it? We just recently bought the dozer so we arent incredibly familiar.
