Hydraulics quit working blade

Have a Case 450C dozer, all working fine. Then, it just quit working the 6-way. When you try to lift blade, the lift cylinders move only around a half inch. what should I
check first. Fluid level is fine, recently changed filter on return side, no leaks anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The blade is only thing thats not operating. Dozer tracks forward and reverse fine and steers fine. blade just quit working all at once

(quoted from post at 05:47:58 08/05/21) All functions of blade quit. lift, angle and tilt

Hydraulic pump driven from the crankshaft dampener pully? The pump drive line is a first check if everything quits. One of the splined couplings or shaft ends may have stripped.

The first thing I would check is the main regulator valve as that is common to all functions, if the valve sticks open or the o'rings on the body blow the hydraulics are dead, the second is the hydraulic pump coupling they have been known to sheer their splines, very hard to see anything on the front of the crank pulley, watch out for the fan while working in that area, the hydraulic pump could have failed but that's unlikely to happen suddenly as they usually get weaker and weaker over a long period, unless the shaft sheared, is this machine equipped for a backhoe?, what exactly happened?, look at the main valve first and before you buy any new parts, this maybe a good time to have an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to have a look at it.

OK. I am going to take off side covers and grill and check pump coupling. Like you said, the pump shouldn't go out all at once. I'm not familiar with checking the control valve body so may have to take it off and take to a mechanic.
How could I check the relief valve in the valve body and too if everything is ok in valve body shouldn't I be able to run dozer without operating blade and see if fluid is returning to reservoir?
Thanks

Your going to find the Pump coupler stripped out.
You can order and change out the coupler and probably
Get going again, however I'm sure the pump shaft splines will
Be badly worn.

I will last for awhile.

Be sure to follow up with what you find.

Finally got to work on dozer. Removed pump and coupler, splines on pump were worn some, coupler splines were worn down almost smooth. will go ahead and replace both pump
and coupler.

Thanks for the info.
