Age of my D-2

I thought there was a serial # place you could look up age on the YT site.? Can't seem to locate it, may just be blind today.

Anyway, My D-2's serial # is 5U579. Anyone have an idea of when it was manufactured?

Gene, it has to be first year production with that low of a number, I don't have the S/N info near me, I forget what year,
believe the U to be the last series of the D2 model. 5U is also wide gauge, again, if I recall correctly.
