Gehl Skid Steer Noise

Not sure if this is the best place to post this question, but I've got a Gehl 4515 skid steer that makes a grinding noise at various points when driving at slower
speeds and lower rpm, seems to be if moving lever into a turn. Machine has two handle control, with left control lever running the drive. I get a
shaking/vibration in that control lever as well when the grinding occurs. Bearings in axles are new and chains have correct tension. Is there some adjustment that
could be out of whack in the hydrostatic pump control linkage?

Check the control lever linkage to see if it's got a damper fitted, if its got a gas cylinder damper sometime the gas leaks and that causes the lever to vibrate and make noise.

I checked and there isn't a gas shock for the linkage. Would just worn linkage and the related looseness of things cause the vibration and noise?

Usually when you got vibration something is running out of kilter, there should not be excessive play in the linkage those skid steers are a right pain to work on be careful looking for the problem when the engine is running, I used to raise the wheels off the ground, reverse the back wheels up on something 4 or 5 inches high and then put some blocks of wood under the counter weight, put the bucket down and lift the front all wheels will be off the ground, gain access to the controls and watch what happens when you select drive.
