Trying to identify and see a picture of a trackloader I used to drive back in 1957 when I worked for a wrecking company. I believe it was an Allis Chalmers. The lifting arms between the bucket and the tractor were all one piece. The arms mounted high on the crawler toward the rear end. The driver actually sat down between the lift arms. I remember this because one time I was loading broken concrete onto a dump truck when the hydraulic line to the cylinder broke and I got sprayed with hot hydraulic oil. A real bear trying to climb out from between those arms when everything was covered with slippery hydraulic fluid. There was one lift cylinder under each arm. Never did know the actual age of the unit. Any help would be appreciated. I was 19 at the time.

Bucyrus Erie made attachments that were installed on many crawlers years ago. Drott was another that made attachments for crawlers.

Here are a couple pictures, borrowed from the web, of Bucyrus Erie loaders on International crawlers. These appear to be along the lines of your description of the loader attachment.

The lift arms were like the second one and were mounted higher. When you were in the seat the arms were just below head high. The hydraulic cylinders were mounted under the arms.

There is at least a 50/50 chance the loader attachment in the 1950's was not made by the same manufacturer as the crawler. So you may be searching for the right crawler as well as the right loader on it. Good luck in your search.
