Friend of mine said he wanted one for another toy .I’ve never seen one. So it looked into them . Guessing they really tough to through out of airplanes
into new Guinean jungles to make air fields. Made 800 of the, by Clark equipment company.
Also see Cleveland tractor made 125 of them .I think I saw one on history channel pushing trough the jungle.
If you have any experience with them I like to hear your storytelling.

They are quite the little crawler, but never thrown out of airplanes, we did not have that capability in WWII. They were carried in C47 aircraft, and Waco gliders, driven in and driven out on landing.
Go to Syltech.net, Ray Rigaud has some spectacular pictures there.
Letourneau also made what they called the D4 Airborne scraper, pics of them there as well.

When I owned one, I purchased three manuals. Will have to search for them. Paid almost $100 for them.
If you own a CA1, and need the manuals send me a picture of your WW2 Airborne dozer and I will send the manuals to you.

I don't know what part of the country you are in but Wright Patterson had a nice display of one the last time I was there Dayton Ohio
