bobcat 843 injector pump

Hi all,
Went to put out a bale for the cows yesterday in sub-zero temps and when I went to unplug the block heater after starting it, I noticed fuel dripping from the injector pump (not sure exactly where but somewhere at the top?). This machine has the Isuzu engine. After a minute or so just driving to the cow lot it started to act like the fuel was gelling - lost power and engine speed. I limped it back to the shed and shut it down. My question is... do you think it's just a fuel gelling issue or do i have a bigger problem here? I plan to pull it into the shop over the weekend when the weather is supposed to be a bit better.

I don't know what the fuel setup is on your machine but the Isuzu 4JB1 engine has an inline pump and it is not prone to leaks unless something is loose, about the fuel gelling, it usually happens in the filter or water trap, check to see if you got a water trap and that it is not full of gel/ice, it may have a glass bowl that is cracked and that is where the fuel leaked from, if it does not have a water trap replace the fuel filter and see how you fair from there.

The 843 with the Isuzu should have a Zexel rotary pump. I just had one rebuilt for a gentleman a month or so ago. Was running perfectly fine but you could follow the diesel fuel trail everywhere it went.
