I bought this unit in 2004 got it running and parked it in a three sided shed until this year. Decided to get it going again but having trouble getting it to fire. Cleaned up the plugs and the carb and got a new battery (6V) to turn it over rather than cranking. Gets good spark to the plugs but just won't fire. Had emptied the fuel tank when parked so added fresh gas as well. The attached picture is a push type switch that for the life of me can't remember what the purpose is. Maybe engine kill switch?? I don't have a manual for it. Even if it is a kill switch I am still getting good spark. Thanks for any suggestions to try. Leon

That green wire seems to have a big eye on the end that is not attached to anything,it looks like it takes a big bolt, could be starter cable or ground?, if you got a spark it is not that so check the air intake is not blocked,try this to get it started,remove the spark plugs,clean them and check the gap,spin the engine over to blow out the cylinders,put a 1/2 a spoonful of gas down each plug hole,put in the plugs,put on the leads in the right order and try for a start and see how it fairs.

ust an update and thanks to AJ for the reply. I had done already what AJ suggested but it was still a no start. It seemed to be cranking too slowly so I put a 12 battery to it and that did the trick, once it ran for awhile the engine loosened up and the 6V battery was able to the starting. It had apparently sat too long and stiffened up kind of what I feel like after sitting around not doing anything!!!
