Looking for operators manual for Hitachi EX50

I inherited a Hitachi EX50 with an offsetting boom. Would like to get an operators manual for it. My immediate need is to confirm where to add fuel and where to add hydraulic oil. I think the big cap on the back is for fuel and the smaller one next too it that looks like a radiator cap is for the hydraulic oil.

Any help would be approceiated.

Thanks,

Looks like a number of manuals for sale on eBay for it, did you look there? You might get lucky, but don't count on finding free ones. Here is a link to Hitachi's site to order manuals:https://www.hitachiconstruction.com/service-support/order-manuals/

For now to ID the tanks there are several things you can do. 1. Diesel should smell different than hydraulic. 2. Chase the hoses/lines from the tanks and see where they go (or work backwards from the hydraulic and injection pumps to the tanks). 3. Use clean sticks and "stick" the tanks to see what comes out on the stick, and how much is in the tank. 4. Or use a small hose/tube to pull a sample from each tank. You might have to remove screens in the filler necks for 3 and 4.

If it’s like my EX 60 the hydraulic is the rad cap looking one. The tank is slightly pressurized. Mine has a metal plate to protect it over. I’ll take pics tomorrow if you’d like.
46 hydraulic oil in all our excavators.

Fuel is the larger one and you may have a screen directly inside to catch chunks. And there may be a float stick pop up you let you know when it’s getting close to full.
