JD 450B top roll replacement.
Does anybody have ideas on getting the top track roll pin out without taking the mount off? The bolts holding the mounts on are pretty rough and I'd rather not screw with them. Looks like the top roll pin is pressed into the mount. Wondering if anyone has pulled the pins out while on the machine.
Thanks for the help!!

Maybe someone will be along with info on removing and replacing the shaft without removing the mount, I haven't done one that way.

The shaft is pressed into the mount. If the shaft is good you can replace the roller and seal in place by holding the track clear of it. If you have to replace the shaft it needs to be pressed in to a dimension given in the Service manual. Common method is to remove the mounting bracket for press access to change the shaft when needed, then assemble the roll while the mount is off.

If you don't have a copy of the JD Service Manual for your 450B, there is one on line you can view or download at https://archive.org/details/John_Deere_Crawler_Tractor_JD450B_Technical_Manual_TM1033/mode/2up

Jim, Thanks for the reply. the shafts are junk so we've been using it
making sure they keep turning and waiting till the rolls fall off. Maybe I should just bit the bullet and tackle the mount bolts, it might not be that bad. A little heat and the bolts might come out. I have a press and replacing the shafts wouldn't be a problem with the mount in hand. I do have a manual and there is a prat reseller that has the rolls and shafts
Thanks again.
