What year is this Cat D8H Dozer

I’m posting this for my brother. He recently bought a D8H Dozer and he order a service manual for the DH8 but it’s the wrong book for his machine .
His machine is (46A27545) if anyone knows the year or what service manual he needs, I would appreciate it.

It is a 72 model. Most of the time the serial no. is what determines which manual is needed.

So it’s a 72 ? I guess the 2 in the serial number is the year ?

not really--the number after the 46a is usually the sequence in the number of machines built
