Caterpillar 931B steering clutches

I am starting to repair the steering clutches on a Caterpillar 931B and and trying to find out wether it has wet clutches or dry clutches. I heard that there was a way to tell by looking at wether the pedals come down from the top or up from the bottom. I was wondering if anyone knew what this was or could give me some information on how to tell if the clutches are wet or dry. I have looked on the internet and haven't really found anything. Any help would be appreciated.

The early machines had dry type and the later ones wet,the serial # would help.wet or dry as a matter of interest what problem are you having, will the machine not steer or have you lost drive to one side, have you adjusted the clutches and brakes to spec, always adjust the clutches first and then the brake,it's quite a bit of work to get to the clutches so you need to know what's wrong before you start.good luck.
