John deere 750 crawler excessive blowny

I have owned this crawler for 3 years and ran it maybe a total of an hr till today we got it running again. Bought it at an auction so didnt know a lot about it and it has 5k hrs if its right. There is a garden hose from the blowby tube ran to the front and after about a half hr of running the front grill was covered in oil from the hose. Guessing the motor is pretty much junk or is there something plugged somewhere that can be cleaned out. Bought it basically just to push hedge rows out.

Sounds like an ongoing problem with the hose rigged up,probably broken piston or rings, you might get away with an in frame overhaul,ie a set of pistons and liners.

Could be a multitude of things. Two places to start. valves and rings.
If it needs rings you might just be lucky enough to do a cylinder honing
and new rings. A micrometer is your friend in this case. Quite often you can
do a simple overhaul with new rings and a light honing on cylinders and get a lot more
service hours Make sure engine is clean and nothing is plugged.

Honing cylinders on a wet sleeve engine isn't a common practice . More than not, you'll find the liners are pitted
from the outside [ coolant side] . A real problem with diesels. This could be prevented by using a coolant
conditioner liquid or an add on coolant filter/conditioner. By the sounds of your machine's description , it's got
a ton of hours with usual contractor care and maintenance.
