Does anybody have any leads on a left-hand final drive housing/assembly? The machine is a part in my driveway, I ve been going crazy trying to find the housing. Everywhere I call in the USA I strike out. I m thinking about looking in Canada maybe? I know they are rare machines and it s a hard to find part from what I ve been reading.

Mick I found this and I don?t know them.

Thanks Greg I have been in touch with that place, I bought a ring gear from them for the flywheel on the dozer. No luck with the final drive parts though, he already sold them. I got a lead on one today though luckily!

Does $850 sound reasonable for the LH final drive house with the oil pan cover? #7 and 10 in the photo. They seem to be so rare I don t think I have a choice...

Well, How many have you found to chose from? How long have you been searching? How much longer do you want to search? How long do you want your crawler down?

And remember another one for less will always turn up once you buy that one, at least that the way it often goes for me.

My fil had a 500 with a broken final drive housing, he welded it back together, used "utectik"(sp) rod,
cost about $40 per rod, never had a problem as long as he had it. A last resort if you have the pieces.
