TD-14A Head Gasket Leak

I'm getting bubbles on the front of the head and want to check its torque. I see that the nut torques are 180-200 ft. lb. Does the torque pattern on page 20, section 2 of the maintenance manual cover both the -14 & -14A heads given that the intake & exhaust manifolds are mounted differently on the two tractors? Also, assuming that I'll have to remove the rocker assembly to get to all the nuts, I can't find its torque pattern or torque values. A little help would be appreciated. Thanks!

is this a fresh overhaul or just a leak u found? what do u mean by bubbles on the front of the head? if this is a leak on an old engine torqueing will nothing. give some info.

I'll guess that the head hasn't been off since 1953. The bubbles are coming out between the head & the block. I just put out about $250 for head, valve cover housing & valve cover gaskets. I'll check the torque first & if I get lucky I'll send the gaskets back.

waste of time, the gasket is failing. u cant retorque an old gasket . infact the bolts will be seized also is another possibility. retorque is only done on a fresh overhaul and then a final valve setting.
