Hey guys,

I wanted to get your 2 cents on something right quick- the pros or the cons.

The quick and short is I juuust found out about a 1983 JD 350 wide track six way at an auction in PA later today, and I don t think it s gonna get a

lot of attention. I can t find out its run condition in time for the auction start, but can have a friend who lives close, go bid on it.

There s the chance this thing could go for sub 1k money.

If I could pick this thing up for like 8 hundo, would it be worth throwin them dice on the run condition variable? I mean, I have a 350C loader,

parts machine at worst. If decent condition, a killer purchase. Thoughts?

That's pretty much what I expected.

It's almost impossible to find a $800/1000. dozer of any kind

At auction.

Thanks for checking.

It would be nice if the OP had updated this after the auction closed yesterday. I found on another site, where he had as well asked about it, a third person reported this morning "Condition was "unknown ". Passaic County, NJ, government surplus. 1,300 visits to the page with 76 bids. Total price including purchase price and 12.5% buyer s premium was $3,684.37."

I think those wide tracks were used on snow clearing machines. The only place I've seen'em used were ski resorts. Prolly means it's a low hour machine.

No rain cap on exhaust, bend in pipe only.

If it runs and moves it may bring a lot ? But for sub 1k money I'd jump on it for parts alone for your other machine.
