The original subject was "Ford 555B backhoe front axle assembly".
Well it has been a while so I thought I would post an update. I went with the option of converting to a 2 wheel drive as the closest front axle assembly was in PA and the price to purchase plus shipping to get
it here was 3 times the amount I paid for the tractor to begin with. I found the front axle complete down to the tires in Nc for a price less than axle alone locally. It is installed and ready but needs one
tire on it as th3e one that is there you can almost see the air in it. NEXT big project is taking off fuel tank and hood in order to access the reverser valve AND replace some hoses that run to the hydraulic
cooler portion of the radiator as one of them disintegrated while doing the frone end swap. Will post pics when I can get home and get something done before dark hits.
