Was the 1957 case 320 designed to drive on county roads? Rear and
front axle strength with loader and backhoe? Would like to run mine
2-3 miles to help a friend dig some ditches. Very expensive to have it
moved by an equipment trailer. New tires on mine and machine is on
good shape

I would just go for it. But I would not push it for speed. Just moderate and not full throttle. Have a fun ride and good luck.

Haven't seen a piece of rubber tired equipment that couldn't move on a road, obviously some goes and handles better than others but no reason you can if you drive reasonable. 3 miles is nothing we often drive equipment that far within a jobsite

I would think travel a few miles on county roads will be easier on it than operating on many worksites. Watch engine speed going down hills, can be easy to over rev on downgrades. If you think the front will be light carry some material in the loader bucket to reduce front end bounce. Only other issue might be the laws and registration requirements for your area, that is something you know best on.

Yes they were made to be roaded to jobs 100% that is the reason they are equipped with the high speed 4th gear is for Fast transport from job to job,
cnt
