I have a wabco 444 grader and the right blade lift will not hold the blade up when heavy blading--it starts to slip out of and usually down in position height. The blade height controller is a hand operated lever arm that engages a worm drive to power a pto shaft down to the blade lift mechanism--it is not a hydraulic mechanism. Does anyone know if there is a 'brake' or friction device in the lifting mechanism to keep the blade in better position? This would help me before I tear into it. Thanks much.
