Allis HD6 crawler

Someone has offered a buddy and I an old
HD6 bulldozer if we can get it running
and haul it out of there. Says it's been
there for about 11 years since it last
ran, 1st gear didn't work, and it leaked
a lot of oil. Tried turning it over,
seemed like it was seazed up, pulled the
the head, 3 cylinders look perfect and
the front cylinder has corrosion and
looks to definitely be what's holding us
up. Filled them all up with atf yesterday
and will check it again next weekend.

So anyway, that being said, is it worth
even messing with? Looked around online a
little and didn't really see another like
it forsake to get an idea of value. Are
parts readily or at all available for it?

Thinking if we can't get it running
without too much trouble and expense it
be worth it to me just to use a bit and
then sell or use for a treeline ornament,
lol.

I'll try to get pics posted of it soon

I have an h4 that when you operate it in any gear except 1st gear you really lose a lot of power. if its free then get it out and sell parts from it. not knowing the condition of it I would say a good working hd6 would probably sell for around 2000-4000 depending on location/ but thats with everything working correctly, no oil leaks. a working one is nice to have around incase you need one. it will always bring scrap price. good luck

I have owned 2 HD 6G loaders. Slow, awkward to operate by today's standards. That being said, you can get a good bit of work done with one if you're patient

Well my buddy stopped over today and the motors already freed up. He's cleaning up the head and injectors Tonight, then we'll probably be going through the fuel system sometime in the near future and go from there.
