Oil sending unit for JD 350-B

Have looked high and low for the oil sending unit on my JD 350-B diesel. According to the parts manual it should be located in
the front area of the motor ahead of the temperature sending unit. Just can"t locate it. Also original unit does it function with
less than 12 volts. Are there any other instruments that operate at less than 12 V. water temp sender??? Have installed a single
wire alternator and read some things from other posts it may be less than 12 V.. Any help is appreciated. Regards RJZ

I think the oil pressure sender is at the back of the engine. Look at the area above the back of the starter and below/behind the fuel filter. That's where a number of the JD engines around that vintage had the senders located. It appears that way in the parts manual to me. Also here are a couple photos of 3-152 engines borrowed from the web showing the oil pressure and temperature senders.

As far as I know the 350Bs were 12 volts and used 12 volt gauges. They used Motorola alternators with external regulators. If your gauge isn't working, beware the sender must match the gauge for proper operation.

Thank you so much for the info. Will check out, feel foolish I have not been able to fine it myself. Thanks again, RJZ
