loosened the front of the belly pan, book says pull forward , then up. im using a six foot bar. doubt it needs more 'pulling',, pumped the clutch pedal, turned the engine over, I get about an inch apart at the top, then when i pull it goes right back together. only thing i can think of is finish pulling the belly pan for a complete look, then buy another tractor.

years ago I bought a 2010. same as 1010 just little bigger. I changed the oil in it and noticed I got about a tablespoon of antifreeze. so I did some checking and it seems there is a seal t the bottom of the sleeve. apparently over the years it could start leaking. if not detected and it gets to bad you could lose a rod and your sleeve deck which they are very expensive if you can find on. I had my 2010 for 5 years. always kept close eye on it. never did get any worse, basically the 1010 and 2010 are good equipment. good luck

Thanks, thats what it acts like, maybe theres another cap bolt at the bottom, i'll get the belly pan off, thing is such a greasy mess, i let the gas engine get real bad blow by, even piped the blow by off the tractor toward the last, dang thing still runs good, probly has half the compression its supposed too. I wanted to keep it home just too lift stuff, but used it on one more job,, lol. Want to use it too try on my 780, thanks again!

maybe it is a 'plate bolt' somewhere, seems strange that i only removed one.,, I have the service manual, didn't say remove belly plate, but i can remember having it off before, I put the gas engine in which sometimes i think was a mistake, i used the diesel for awhile, had too start it with the glow plugs, then use the glow plugs again too pick up a dead cyclinder, probly just needed a pump, at the time i guess i didn't want to risk it. the whole thing did work alot better after i put the gasser in.

I mixed alot of the diesel parts with the gas, such as, flywheel, maybe clutch, it really has lasted along time w/o any problems.
