I have a 1968 John deere dozer 450 straight. I'm having a hard time finding piston rings and cylinder sleeve O rings. Can anyone please help me. Its 4 cylinder diesel serial numbers T5F3M 095809T

Use the John Deere parts catalog to find the parts numbers you need, then you can search those numbers. Or check with your JD dealer for the parts. Be aware you need to your serial number as there were changes in the 450 engines that may affect some of the parts you need.

Copy and paste this link into your browser since the since rejects my post today if I link it.

On the homepage put 450 in the model search box. From the drop down that will appear on the next page select bulldozer (PC922) and you will have access to the parts catalog for your crawler. You can print pages by clicking the print box you will find at the bottom of the list of parts for each page.

Hey John, I know the feeling. Been trying to find transmission parts for mine for almost a year. They are like hen's teeth.
Good luck and if you see a parts machine in your search, please let me know,

So you have the same machine as me? If so theres a few around my area I've seen posted on Facebook market place

Randy,

By his serial number, his has the HLR transmission. I'm still watching Craigslist, etc. and will let you know if I see any with the straight collar shift transmission up this way.
