SALT tracks vs Cat SystemOne?

We are running 2 Cat D5G LGP dozers here in Cambodia. Neither machine is currently equipped with SystemOne undercarriage. One is about shot so what I want to know is it worth the investment to go to SystemOne vs a SALT rail? I understand we?d have to change rollers to get the best performance. We operate in water and mud often so will the SysteOne hold up in wet conditions? We?ve had decent luck with SALT rails but seem to max them out at about 4000 hours. You thoughts please gentlemen?? Thanks in advance!

My thinking and experience is stay with what you have got. Not worth what it will cost to make the change and we have seen some instances where system one really was shorter life than salt. Four thousand hrs would be about right for your working environment I would think. You must be working those things 24/7 to get those kind of hours since you got the machines.

Thanks JM the machine that has the worn out tracks was only about 50% when we bought it, but they do run about 16 hours per day.

Good to hear from you,, and hope all is well. The dozer purchase must have worked out pretty well if they have ran that long.
