I have a case 580 B , is there a torque converter fluid filter? if so where is it located? Thank You Ron C.

Yes pull the front grill, on your right there will be a cast filter housing with for 3/8" bolts holding the cover on the filter is in there

You say you don't see it in the manual. Do you have the Operator's manual or a service/shop manual? Most time maintenance service work (oil, filters, lubrication, minor adjustment, etc.) information is found in Operator's manuals. You may want to get those if you don't have them (the tractor and loader hoe are two separate manuals in the set I have).

Here are a couple pages from the 580 Operator's manual I have. Note they called the Torque Converter filter out as Hydraulic filter.

Sorry, but no, I just happened to have that one. Use your model and serial numbers to buy the right ones as there were a number of different 680 series over the years.

The Case 680C with the Borg Warner shuttle shift has a washable strainer in the bottom of the shuttle,secure the machine,go under it and look at the shuttle where it bolts to the engine,back on the square part of the shuttle in the middle and at the bottom is two plugs,one is for to drain the oil the other has a cylinder type strainer that's washable behind it,drain the oil and remove it, I think but not 100% sure it takes about 11Lts of oil,Case TCH or any good quality HyTrans oil will do.
