Hercules multifuel engine

I'm hoping someone can tell me which SAE bell housing pattern I have on a Hercules multifuel engine out of a deuce and a half.

I'm wanting to install this where an old R22 (U6501) Continental gas engine used to be.

The transmission housing appears to be an SAE1 housing pattern, the Hercules appears to be SAE 2 but the bolt pattern is not even. The bolts are not in a regular distance apart. Some are further apart than others.

Also, I didn't realize when I bought the engine the injection pump was missing. Dumb thing on my part, but it is at my place and I realized it while getting cleaned up a little. Which injection pump was likely to have been on this engine so I can hunt one up?

Anyway, is there an adapter plate that can get me from one bell housing pattern from the transmission bell housing to the engine bell housing?

Thanks, Roy

I would recommend checking on the steelsoidiers.com site.
There is a lot of multi-fuel engine information on that site.

I have a Continental Multifuel engine and it has a SAE#2 bellhousing. Like the Hercules , when installed in a 2-1/2, it is mated to a Spicer 3053-A transmission
via a SAE#2 to SAE#3 adapter
