Another little restoration complete

I just finished this little project for a lifelong friend. He has owned dozens and dozens of pieces of heavy equipment over the years. He is now retired and in poor health, but still likes the "Old Stuff". He bought this little jewel about 6 months ago and asked me to restore it for him. Hope it suits him. 1720 actual hours. One owner. We installed some new cab glass, fixed some oil leaks, got everything working properly, all new hoses and tires. A good tune up to the IH gas engine and it's ready to push dirt or snow.

Well I am 74 any chance you want to do one for me. Think mine is a 303 or something but does have the 220 ih engine and power steering. Did you make the brakes work on that one?

jm. The only brakes on this one is a band on a drum on the front of the transmission. All mechanical. We replaced the seal behind the drum and riveted a new lining on the band. It now has excellent brakes. This one is all power and everything works as good as new and not a single oil leak, I can find. I have not found any wear anywhere either.

sure looks good. That is the same brake set up mine has. Very problematic and most time short lived.

Beautiful grader, nice work. Unusual to see a cab like that one in excellent condition, usually rusted out. Did they give the operator any heat for wintertime in that machine?

That is the heater to the left and below the seat. Thanks for your comments. As I said this is a very low hour machine and was always kept in a shed. A jewel of a find in my book.

Thanks I see it now, got lost in the shadow at first glance. Yes, nice original machine – – quite the find.
