Im trying to order some parts and can't figure out what motor it is for this 3 cylinder ford . . I think i found the engine serial number just above the cast iron oil pan on left side of motor right by the dip stick. The number is PG035927E115 . on the right side of block on lower front...numbers are raised....C5NE 6015 C and right below that on a small raised pad is 5D23 . heres some more info..it has cartridge oil filter..power steering reservoir is a canister up above pump...has 13" clutch. Thanks..

here is pics of ENGINE serial numbers .I think the backhoe is about a 65 model 4400 or 4500 .

Sounds like you may have a 4400 but not sure.
4500 power steering gets it's oil from the hydraulic tank in the front grill shell.
Canister oil filter dates the engine to before 10/69
Is this a gas or diesel engine.
Normally the serial # on the right side oil pan rail, I'm wondering if this is a replacement engine.
I have on info on the engines PG serial number.
Look on the flat area behind the starter for 3 sets of hand stamped numbers, they will tell us the model, production date and serial number of the tractor.
More photos of the tractor and complete engine would also help.

If the tractor is a 4400 it should have a 192 gas engine or 201 diesel if built before mid 68, later gas engines were 201's

Well I tried to up load the pics and it wont. so here are the 3 sets of numbers on right side .starting with they one
inboard the most and working to the outside of bell housing... 5E26C then the middle one is 44021 G then the
outside one
is C1095455G6. then on the Left side same place is this number 70A18 P and the P is twice as bib as the other
numbers..I will keep trying to upload pics..other information is I have a part number of the 13" flywheel that part
number is C5NE6375BB ..I looked that part number up on the Ford New Holland site and that flywheel assy. comes on a
3550/4400/4410/4500. the loader is I think 740 as I matched up my bucket to that and its the same 71.5" wide. . It has
a 753 hoe . and trans mission number on top plate by shifter is C5NN-7222-C and lower left side of trans is C5NN4024H

I will keep trying to upload pics. or if you can my emaill is [email protected] have lots of pics of the ford and
engine is removed and just replaced rear main seal. I think its a 4 speed with high and low ..unless the shifter on the
right is a reverser..not a hi/low lever. . The rear of the motor behind the flywheel is shinny cast like new..never any
paint ..it could be a replaement motor like you said.

44021G is the model number
4 = 4000 series
40 = utility
2 = gas engine
1 = no pto
G = 4x4 manual reversing trans
Your tractor is a 4400 utility with gas engine, no pto and 4x4 trans.
The engine for this tractor is a 192 ci gas engine

5E26C is the production date
5 = 1965
E = May
21 = date built
C = shift built
Your tractor was built May 21 1965 on afternoon shift

Serial number is correct for a 65 model tractor.

Hope this helps you.
