I thought you crawler fellows would like to see some old crawlers at work. They are pulling three pull type combines in Washington state.

In years past, over on ACMOC forums there were some great posts showing similar operations, older crawlers and tillage operations.
From what I recall, lots of old D6 direct drive ag tractors were used for many decades. The later oil bath clutch models were the pinnacle of "bulletproof" performance from Caterpillar tractors. You could get a direct drive tractor well into the 70's if I recall correctly. Lot of good photos and reading, especially the ones showing these massive hillside fields, + the modern combines they use to harvest.

Good post, looks like it could have been from the actual time period, that IH has a nice sound to it. Never saw an RD4 used in ag work, looks like a good fit for the combine. RD6/D6 was a very common size tractor for this work, and they stay in nice shape from I have seen.
