Aux Hydraulics on NH L555 Skid Loader

Need to add aux hydraulics NH L555 skid loader. CNH sells 2 different control valves ($625 and $1200) and a power beyond adapter ($325). The $625 valve is part of the group number 039 (Aux Hydraulics Kit) on the parts diagrams. The $1200 control valve is part of the group number 021 (Boom Hydraulics Kit) on the parts diagrams. These can be found on mesicks.com (https://www.messicks.com/nh/716621). The power beyond adapter is required for both kits and I have that ordered. This taps in to the main control valve.

Getting down to my question: Would I be able to substitute a cheaper control valve (i.e. Cross Manufacturing directional control valve or something similar) for the more expensive valves from NH. If so, what specs should this control valve meet?

You can,it is possible to add another control valve,and you have a choice,you can either use the power beyond kit or plumb it into the return from the existing equipment valve return,you would remove the return from the existing valve and from that port connect a line to the in port of the aux valve you are adding,the return line would be connected to the out of the aux valve,you then fit the pressure lines to the attachment you are adding,if the existing hose bore of the return line is say 3/4" use a valve of that size or whatever the bore is.
