TD6 steering clutch stuck again

I went through both clutches about 10 years ago. I always try to run it every 6 months or so. It had stuck a few times but I was able to break it free. I tie the handles back but I wasn't so lucky last time. Stuck tight. I dont use it often so I dont think I will tear it down unless the other side sticks. Question is has anyone tried a rotohammer or air hammer on the drum? Thought I might at least try some easy things.

Usually it's the discs that stick together with rust and won't disengage,I would not chance hitting on the drum as it is a casting and might crack, adjust that side up tight, tie the levers back and run into a tree stump and the shock might break it free,if it does readjust and away you go.

Ride the brake to create heat. Get it smoking hot if you can.
Repeated hard applications of the brake can be just as effective
as the tree stump.
